In-Home Care Professionals Help Whitefish Bay, WI's Elderly Residents Live At Home Safely and Comfortably
Nestled on the shores of Lake Michigan, Whitefish Bay is home to many scenic views and beautiful homes. Comfort Keepers offers our in-home care services to residents of Whitefish Bay requiring assistance for independent living. Our trained staff allows your senior family members to stay in the comfort of their homes instead of moving in with relatives or to an assisted living facility.
One of the biggest problems seniors living alone face is safety. Slipping in the shower or tripping over carpeting can cause serious injuries. Comfort Keepers are trained on the most up-to-date mobility assistance equipment to make getting around the house easy and safe for our senior clients. We also serve adults with disabilities and individuals transferring home from the hospital who can equally benefit from our supervision during recovery.

For adults with dementia from Alzheimer’s disease or other mental conditions, moving can be dangerous. By removing your loved one from a familiar setting, their ability to remember where they are fades. Unfortunately, one of the most common sources of injury among those with dementia is getting lost. Other dementia care plans include:
- Looking at photographs
- Listening to their favorite music
- Encouraging mental stimulation with conversation
- Engaging in games and hobby activities they enjoy
Comfort Keepers Interactive Care promotes mental well-being in all of our clients. Adults with autism or disabilities will benefit from our personal care plans and engaging activities. 24/7 or just a few hours on weekdays, Comfort Keepers provides the personal senior care you need.
Senior Shares Experiences and Life with Two Caregivers
Bob, a Comfort Keepers client for 3 years, has been a treat and pleasure to know. Married to Ruth for 69 years, he has lived in the same home for 68 years, raising 4 sons along the way. Bob states he “has had a great life.”
Bob attributes his great memory and mind to a positive attitude, love of singing, and constant joking.
He talks fondly of his marriage and the collection of 80+ angels Ruth saved over the years, which he just donated to his church.
When care was needed for Bob to remain at home, Roger, his son, called Comfort Keepers to make sure caregiving could be flexible and have more hours added if needed.
Bob says to caregivers “Carissa and Jean are the daughters I never had.” What Bob enjoys the most is the companionship they share. What the caregivers love best are the stories of Bob’s life.
After the household chores are done, Bob has Carissa and Jean sit, listen, and share stories about his wonderful life working at Louis Allis (42 years) and as a Military Policeman in the Army.
We wish Bob the best as he moves to Texas to be near his son. At 93, Bob will still be living independently, and, considering his positive attitude, outlook on life, and sense of humor, Comfort Keepers knows how lucky the residents of his new hometown will be.
