Helen L.

When someone has compassion for another, they have an understanding of what the person is going through.  Helen defines this in all phases in her role as a caregiver and as a coworker through her expertise and knowledge. This shows through her kindness, caring, and respectful attitude toward everyone.  She actively assists clients with housekeeping activities such as organizing the clients home to make things easier for them or, by doing little things such as holding open the door and bringing in baked goods for all to enjoy.  We never have to worry about looking up a traffic or weather report because Helen reports it before we know it’s happening!

Most of Helens life has been dedicated to caring for others. She does not treat her work as a caregiver as, just a job. Her strong work ethic and dedication to her clients is above the limits. Helen has been known to arrive early with a change of clothes because it was snowing outside or because the client had lost power due to trees being down. She is great at documenting and communicating even a slight change of condition for her clients. 

Helen has a unique way of handling situations, stepping up and finding a way to problem solve. She provides exceptional emotional support through positive interaction and companionship which enables her to make connections with her long-time clients, as well as a client she is visiting for the very first time. She embraces each individual by being on their level so she can meet their needs to the best of her abilities.

Helen significantly contributes to serving as a role model for others. Comfort Keepers is proud to have Helen on our team. She truly does represent the highest standard of caregiving by assuring that she is Elevating the Human Spirit on a daily basis.
