Personal Hygiene, such as bathing or showering, grooming and dressing; mobility and transferring, activities related to moving around safely, including walking, using a wheelchair or walker, and transferring from one position (such as sitting or lying down) to another; eating and feeding, the ability to consume food and drink independently, including feeding oneself and managing any necessary assistive devices; toileting and continence, the ability to use the toilet, maintain urinary and bowel continence, and manage personal hygiene related to toileting and basic mobility and physical movements required to navigate the home environment, such as standing, sitting, and lying down are all Activities of Daily Living that our caregivers can help with based on the need of each individual client. Assessing a person's ability to perform these ADLs helps determine their level of independence and identifies areas where our caregivers can step in and help.
