"I would like to use this opportunity to express my sincere and heartfelt gratitude to Comfort Keepers, for helping me to reconnect in a very positive way with humanity. I took this job just as a means of saving up some money to take my kids to Disney World in the summer and to supplement my income from my other job as a life and health insurance broker. However, in my two months working with Comfort Keepers, I have had some very humbling and twice, tear filled emotional moments with the clients.I have been moved overwhelmingly with the clients and their suffering.Yesterday, March 30th, I was with one client at a little concert organized by the nursing home. It was such an emotional experience for me to see him dancing and smiling to the music.We take long walks daily, and with his daughter’s knowledge and permission, we stop by a cafe called Trail Cafe and have a drink (him orange juice and me coffee). I don't know what his behavior was like prior to me caring for him, but after breakfast and lunch every single day, he immediately just walks straight to the gate. I think that him walking around in those new environments and him interacting with the different sounds on the shopping plaza sometimes triggers memories, as he smiles a lot and is very talkative. We do a lot of bird and squirrel watching and he even tries to mimic the sounds made by these animals. The last time I felt this humbled, was when I assisted with the birth of my son back in February 2007, and I believe that all my clients have thus far positively influenced my intrinsic motivation, for me to endeavour to offer my best at all times while caring for them. I offer my sincere gratitude to Lori and Paula (I think) for hiring and training me. I also offer my gratitude to Theresa and all the other ladies for going out of their way to assist me whenever I have had an issue and called in for assistance. To Comfort Keepers as a whole, I will say continue doing as you are doing, the clients are grateful. Cons: None that I have experienced. Advice to Management: Keep doing what you are doing."
"I have worked with Comfort Keepers for 1-1/2 years now (after retiring from teaching special education) and have enjoyed every minute of it! Though I am only a companion, I feel that I am truly offering an important service for my clients. In general, they are not yet ready for a "facility" so they and their families just need someone to be there to assist in everyday activities that have become too tedious or difficult. A bond develops between us that is very rewarding - and that has happened with every one of my clients! The staff at Comfort Keepers have been supportive and accommodating every step of the way. It is a pleasure to work with them!"

"Tina can and does work miracles!! I called her at 10 o'clock in the morning asking if there was any way she could arrange to have a care giver at my friend's home in a couple of hours!! Tina immediately went to the hospital to visit with my friend, in order to evaluate her needs. diplomatic, and more importantly personnel are always willing to provide whatever service a client is in need of at a moment's notice. I'd like to share more details about my particular situation. Initially I selected another company and didn't know about Comfort Keepers. But thank God my initial selection did not have the correct credentials in place and that company thought enough of Comfort Keepers to give my case to Comfort Keepers. I have selected to not share the negative experience of my not knowing someone from Comfort Keepers was going to show up at my home to process me when I in fact was expecting a representative from the other company. This transitional mishap turned out to be a true blessing for me and my family. A very nice Lady by the name of Misty Dunn (A1 employee) is a blessing to me and my family. Misty, has done numerous things to assist when she absolutely doesn't have to and I am forever grateful. In regards to timekeeping and scheduling Selena Gaitan has too been flexible and does whatever is needed to ensure my schedules are accurate and caregivers are available when needed. And newly assigned personnel and the General Manager(s) are a reflection of why the aforementioned personnel go the extra mile.......they too are responsive and supportive. In closing if ever given the opportunity I would select Comfort Keepers as my service provider. Additionally I have and will continue to recommend Comfort Keepers Company."
