Our Story

In 1999, Richard Reisman was looking for in home care for his mother who was suffering from Alzheimer's. He was not satisfied with the quality of care that was available in the Philadelphia area and decided to do something about it. In 2000, Richard opened one of the very first Comfort Keepers agencies in the country. He hired only the very best caregivers to provide in home care to seniors, and people who were disabled, ill, or recovering from surgery. Richard's compassion and professionalism earned him the reputation of providing the highest quality home care and elder services in the Greater Philadelphia area.

His children, Michele Reisman and Marc Reisman, joined the business in 2007 when Richard was diagnosed with lung cancer. Their personal family experiences inspired them to join the family business, wanting to provide elder services that promote a higher quality of life. "A year before our father died, I came into the company. He really wanted us to go on with the agency. It is his legacy, and that's what motivates us every day," says Michele.

Our offices are located in Jenkintown and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and we provide family-oriented elder services throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. Our promise is to provide the type of care and the trusted in home caregivers that our founder sought for his mother over a decade ago.
