End of Life Care For Seniors and Elderly Adults in Reading and West Lawn, PA
Working in conjunction with certified hospice providers, our end of life care services provide an enhanced level of care for clients and their families in Reading, West Lawn, Berks County and the surrounding PA areas
Comfort Keepers Home Care serves families in Reading, West Lawn and the surrounding areas of Berks County during their time of greatest need. We realize that it is a very emotional and delicate stage of life. Our caregivers deliver compassionate, heartfelt and comfort measures to clients as well as provide support to family caregivers throughout end of life care.
While your certified hospice provider will likely provide an aide to assist with bathing and general hygiene routines for an hour, several times per week, Comfort Keepers can be there for extended periods to provide end of life care as needed.
Comfort Keepers Can Provide:
- Respite and overnight care so family caregivers can get their rest
- Comfort measures including re-positioning for comfort, moistening lips, offering food and drink (as appropriate)
- Reassurance that your loved one will be comfortable, even if bed-confined (incontinence care, clothing changes and sheet changes are part of our care plan)
- Household assistance to keep up with basic chores like cleaning, dishes and laundry
- An extra set of hands to bring the mail in, take the trash out, water plants and do the small tasks that can add up
Comfort Keepers support is available for as little as three-hour shifts, twice a week, or if needed, overnights and up to 24 hours per day of care. While services can be long-term, some families need services on a temporary basis, and we do that too!
