Our Story

Chad and Shannon McGlothlin, owners of the Southern Pines Comfort Keepers office, grew up in close proximity to their grandparents. They spent a considerable portion of their childhood in the company of these wonderful people. Their guidance, spiritual, and emotional influences helped build the foundation for Chad and Shannon's character. Thus, they and their company maintain a great respect for the elderly and the gifts they bring to the world.

As Chad and Shannon's grandparents aged and began requiring assistance with chores that once were routine, it became obvious that eventually a totally independent lifestyle would not be possible. However, both sets of grandparents had lived in their respective homes for years and each cherished their surroundings. Chad and Shannon assisted with helping their grandparents whenever possible. Nevertheless, they both lead busy lives and the ability to be available at all hours is not always feasible. Chad and Shannon understand that their family situation is not unlike what many other families are experiencing. Their desire to provide in home care allowing seniors to remain independent in the comfort of their own home brought them to Comfort Keepers.
