How do you select Comfort Keepers?
Before joining our ever-growing team, each Comfort Keeper has to undergo rigorous background checks and sit through a series of screenings and interviews. Furthermore, our candidates receive extensive training and mandatory education. All our caregivers are bonded, insured, and covered by Workers’ Compensation insurance too. For our clients’ peace of mind, we only work with the very best caregivers who come from local communities.
How much does in-home care cost?
Typically, rates are determined by the volume of in home care services and the number of hours our caregivers clock in.
Are services available 24 hours, 7 days a week?
Yes. Our care plans are flexible and can be provided for as little or as much as you may need them, from just a few hours per week to full-time or around-the-clock.
Can you provide services on short notice?
Yes, we can. Sometimes situations arise when families need a quick in home care solution. When needed, we provide services on an as-needed basis.
Do you provide services to those in nursing homes or assisted living communities?
Of course. When residents in nursing homes and assisted living need more support than their facility can offer, our dedicated caregivers can provide additional assistance, companionship, and personal care.
Is there a written plan of care for each client? Do these plans get modified and if so, how often?
Our practice is to develop fully customized and completely confidential care plans for each client we serve. Once the client and family members involved are satisfied with their care plan, we can proceed to initiate in home care by scheduling visits and referring a suitable caregiver. Care plans are reviewed at least every six months, but they can be assessed more frequently if necessary.
Will I have the same Comfort Keeper all the time? How will I meet my Comfort Keeper?
Your assigned client care coordinator will carefully document your loved one’s needs and preferences to recommend an experienced professional. Before he or she starts providing care for your parent, we will arrange a meeting so you can see them in person and approve our match.
What if my Comfort Keeper is sick or on vacation?
Each Comfort Keepers office has adequate replacements lined up when an assigned in home care provider calls in sick or goes on vacation. When your Comfort Keeper is unavailable, our client care coordinator will promptly refer a new one that you will get to meet before they visit your loved one.
