Our team of home care providers is uniquely qualified and ready to help seniors in Hickory, Lincolnton, Maiden, and the surrounding areas of North Carolina
All of our home care providers are professional and well trained. We conduct a thorough screening and interviewing process to identify caregivers, and only those who pass this process go on to complete training to deliver our special brand of companion care and become Comfort Keepers. What truly sets our people apart, though, is their natural gift for caring for others.
All Comfort Keepers home care providers pass an extensive screening process which involves a criminal background, driving record, and personal reference check. They are also required to complete a comprehensive training program and participate in ongoing continuing education courses so that they keep their knowledge on senior care up to date. In addition, Comfort Keepers are our employees, meaning they are bonded, insured and covered by workers' compensation insurance to protect our clients and their families.
Comfort Keepers provide a wide variety of companion care services to older adults to help them live safer, more fulfilling lives at home. Our home care providers may support one client with personal care tasks such as bathing and toileting and another client with grocery shopping and meal preparation. Our Comfort Keepers may also provide specialized services such as Alzheimer’s and dementia care, transitioning home care, and end of life care.
If your senior loved one opts for in home care services from us, they will be paired with a Comfort Keeper who is right for their personality and specific needs. Our client care coordinators strive to match seniors to a Comfort Keeper that they can easily get along with and feel comfortable around. In the event that a Comfort Keeper is ill or out of town, your older loved one will be matched with another caregiver who will provide them with the quality companion care they deserve until their Comfort Keeper returns.

Brooke & John Reynolds
Owners
John and Brooke Reynolds started with Comfort Keepers in August 2007 as owners of the South Charlotte office. When looking for help for their family members, John and Brooke recognized the need in the community for a quality home care agency focused on interactive care and engaging seniors. They are proud to have filled that role, providing seniors an option to maintain their independence while aging gracefully in the comfort of home.
John and Brooke opened a new office in Union County, NC in January 2008. In May 2015, they acquired the West Charlotte territory. Then in January 2019 they expanded greatly, with offices serving communities throughout the Greater Charlotte area including the communities in Mooresville, Statesville, Cornelius, Lake Norman, Salisbury, Concord, and Hickory.
Brooke has a BA in Communication Disorders/Speech Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has experience as an Activities Director in an Adult Day Center in Wisconsin and was a Behavior Therapist for individuals with Autism from 1995-2000.

Harriet joined Comfort Keepers in the spring of 2017 as our In Home Aide/RN Supervisor. Harriet not only trains and supervises our in-home aides, she also conducts the initial and ongoing assessments for all of our clients.
