What is the difference between home care and healthcare?
At first, home care was a term used to describe all types of care provided in clients’ homes. However, the terminology has slightly changed over the years. Nowadays, home care is mostly used to describe non-medical home care services such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and transportation. On the other hand, home healthcare refers to skilled nursing care.

How much home care services cost?

Is there a written plan of care for each client?
We provide personalized care plans that are tailored to meet the specific needs of the client. We review them with the client and their family at least every six months to make sure that everything is in order, and change them if needed.
Will the same Comfort Keeper deliver care all the time?
Based on the client’s needs, preferences, schedule, and personality we will select the best fit for them. Our care coordinator will arrange an introduction between the client and their caregiver and go over the care plan during that meeting to ensure understanding of home care services to be provided.
What if my Comfort Keeper is ill or on vacation?
In cases when a caregiver is unable to deliver home care services, another care provider will step in. Of course, our care coordinator will introduce the new caregiver and make sure that services are provided as expected.
What are ADLs and IADLs?
Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) are common tasks seniors perform every day, such as bathing, dressing, eating, mobility, and toileting. On the other hand, Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) are tasks that are less basic, but still important to ensuring one’s quality of life such as shopping, paying bills and household chores.
