Cindy Lewis
Owner
In October 2001, Cindy Lewis kept the promise she made to her grandfather to provide a service to the elderly so they could remain in the privacy of their own home instead of moving to a retirement or nursing facility. As she began her journey to open a small home care agency, she discovered the Comfort Keeper franchise. She knew that this was her calling, and pursued her dream. What started as a home-based business with 5 caregivers has now blossomed into an entire central office building, and a branch office in Carlsbad, staffed with a large number of caregivers and office staff. In the past few years, Comfort Keepers has placed a role in providing employment opportunities to a predominantly female labor force. An important factor to maintaining a happy workforce is through the kind and caring support Cindy provides. She has an open-door policy for all employees as well as clients. If you need to talk, she listens. She is funny, friendly, supportive, and rewards employees for going the extra mile. Cindy’s efforts and her lifelong experience with running a business has resulted in office #240 becoming the #1 franchise office with the Comfort Keepers system, and has been given the Comfort Keepers President’s Award for Compliance and Service for numerous consecutive years. She has also earned the Franchise Owner of the Year Award in New Mexico, and the IFA’s prestigious Franchisee of the Year Award. Cindy has not only succeeded in making her dream come true, but has been an answer to the prayers of clients and their families and has been able to keep a loving promise made many years ago.

Aimee Segura
Medicaid Program Manager
As the Medicaid Program Manager at Comfort Keepers, I’ve had the pleasure of being part of this incredible team for over six years. What I love most about working here is the strong, family-like bond we share. Coordinating services for my clients and making a meaningful impact in their lives brings me immense joy and purpose. On a personal note, I’m engaged to my fiancée of ten years. I have a wonderful 19-year-old daughter, along with a 36-year-old stepdaughter and a 29-year-old stepson. My family wouldn’t be complete without my two beloved pets: Mila, who’s 2, and Nala, who’s 11 months. I enjoy spending quality time with my family, catching a good movie, cheering on the Cowboys and Dodgers, shopping, and treating myself at the beauty salon. With a background in occupational therapy assistance, I bring an optimistic and positive approach to everything I do, always ready to go the extra mile to help others.
Monica Gamboa
Recruiter/Training Coordinator
As the Recruiter and Training Coordinator, I am responsible for hiring caregivers who meet the unique needs of our clients and overseeing their training to ensure they’re fully prepared to provide quality care. My background in Case Management and education has equipped me with a keen understanding of what to look for when hiring caregivers. My goal is to inspire and support them to stay committed to the caregiving field. My passion for this work is rooted in years of experience with adults with disabilities and in nursing home facilities, where I witnessed firsthand the gaps in empathy, training, and dedication in caregiving. I am committed to bridging those gaps by fostering compassion, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help others maintain their independence.
Outside of work, my greatest passion is my family. Family time means everything to me, and when I’m not working, there’s no place I’d rather be than at home, surrounded by my loved ones.

My passion lies in the medical field. I personally care for my aging grandparents and parents, which has deepened my appreciation for this career. I believe that caregiving is a calling, and I understand the dedication it takes to make a positive impact in someone’s life. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family. We’re very sports-oriented, and being outdoors is essential to us.
Sheila Cornil

My name is Sheila Cornil. I am the Administrative Assistant who greets you when you walk through our doors. My goal is to get to know you and make you laugh. I enjoy every person that I talk to. My Dad never met a stranger, and I haven’t either. I am a true people person. Our company takes pride in giving remarkable care to our clients, and we also take pride in our caregivers. I contribute to this by answering the phones and transferring you to whom you need to speak with. I am a true catch-all for everyone; I keep things tidy and organized while making sure everyone has what they need. I also assist with the accounting team daily. Outside of work, my hobbies are cross-stitching and diamond painting.
Jessica Lewis
Executive Operations Assistant
My name is Jessica Lewis, and I am the Executive Operations Assistant at Comfort Keepers. My role is largely behind the scenes, where I manage correspondence, oversee projects, and coordinate daily office operations to ensure smooth workflows and adherence to policies. I believe that effective communication across departments is essential to maintaining a well-functioning office environment. Although I have only officially worked at Comfort Keepers for four years, I grew up immersed in the business, watching it flourish over the past 23 years. I’ve had the privilege of witnessing my mother and the owner, Cindy Lewis, build Comfort Keepers from the ground up. It has been incredibly inspiring to watch her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication transform the business into what it is today. I graduated from the University of New Mexico in 2019 with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Family & Child Studies. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my dog, traveling, and indulging in arts and crafts whenever I'm home.
Stacey Young-Martin
Accounting & Payroll
My name is Stacey Young-Martin, and my role at Comfort Keepers is in Accounting/Payroll. My love for numbers along with my Bachelor's, Associate's, and Certificates in Business and Accounting, make me the perfect team member that clients and caregivers alike can count on to bill their services and pay their wages properly and accurately. After being with the company for five years, I know I am working for a company that is making a difference in our community. We have a lot of wonderful caregivers who go above and beyond to provide support to those in need. Although I throw myself into my work, my heart and soul belong to my family, and I do not know what I would do without them. We love doing all sorts of things together, especially camping. I love to cook and write poetry; that is my Zen.
