As a home care nurse for over 25 years, Sue recognized that she wanted to bring home care for seniors to the next level. She partnered with Comfort Keepers franchise in September of 2004. Sue makes sure her team of caregivers is fully screened, trained and personable! It is a career of passion for Sue, filled with purpose and reward.

Shannon joined the team in 2013 with over 15 years’ experience in Business Administration. Shannon is an active community member striving to bring top quality service to our community, treating all our clients like family.
Laura Koski
Executive Director
In 2017, Laura joined Comfort Keepers, bringing with her extensive experience in long-term care administration. In her role, she manages human resources, actively pursues opportunities for individual and office growth, and provides supervision for our nursing team. Laura closely collaborates with referral sources and prospective families, aiming to foster strong working relationships with our partners in senior care.
Paige McFarland
Operations Manager
Paige became a valuable member of our team in 2018 and has since ascended to the role of Operations Manager. In her capacity, she manages the recruitment, orientation, training, and retention of caregivers and branch employees. Paige provides supervision for all office administrative staff and serves as a crucial resource, offering support for daily operations and scheduling. Beyond her operational responsibilities, she takes the lead in fostering relationships that enhance our brand awareness, form partnerships, and drive revenue growth.
Derek Peterson
Director of Nursing
Derek joined Comfort Keepers in 2019 and swiftly assumed the role of Director of Nursing. With over 30 years of experience as a nursing director spanning hospitals to assisted living, Derek brings a wealth of expertise to his position. He is actively involved in recruiting, hiring, and supervising the nursing team, providing day-to-day problem-solving and personal coaching support. Derek plays a key role in formulating and recommending policies and procedures, staying abreast of state and federal rules and regulations related to home care services to ensure compliance. In addition, Derek personally conducts each new client assessment and plays a vital role in initiating caregiver and nursing services. Beyond his professional responsibilities, Derek's diverse interests include a background as a basketball coach and a passion for family, fishing, and attending concerts.
