Rich Howe

Owner

Richard is the President who operates a successful Comfort Keepers location in Easton Maryland and has been involved in In Home Care since 2005.  He has also been a senior executive and small business owner in other business segments, including construction, retail, and automotive. His wife, Cheri Howe, and he are passionate about supporting our senior community on the Eastern Shore. Having lived through family needing assistance in time of need he is living his passion. Having empathy and wanting to elevate the human spirit has always been a strength and a desire. Richard Howe is also passionate about his family and making memories. He currently lives in Delaware with his wife and two of his 9 kids.

Cheri Howe

General Manager

Cheri is the General Manager who works at Comfort Keepers of Eastern Shore Maryland. For the past 5 years, she has worked with Comfort Keepers in Recruitment and Human Resources. Cheri is passionate about motivating her team, resolving difficulties, and caring for others. Cheri has been recognized in their field for being a leader in whatever she does. In her Spare time, Cheri enjoys spending time with her family, riding her motorcycle, and boating. She currently lives in Delaware with her husband and 2 of her 9 children.  

Rick Messick

Marketer

Rick is the marketing director for Comfort Keepers of the Eastern Shore. For over two years Rick has been actively telling our story of how we strive to “Uplift the Human Spirit” of all our clients. Rick is passionate about helping and protecting our senior’s quality of life. Rick enjoys praise and worship music, singing, playing drums and guitar. Rick currently lives in Easton, MD with his wife Amber.

Depina Hodge

Client Care Coordinator/Sale Manager

Depina started her career with Comfort Keepers first as a Caregiver in 2015. Since then she has received several promotions. In her current position as Territory Sales Manager, she meets with families looking for care now or planning for the future. Her warm demeanor and years of experience puts families at ease. 

Prior to joining Comfort Keepers, Depina worked for Sotera Defense for 12 years as a Material Coordinator, supporting Army, Navy and the Marines to make sure they had all the supplies they needed in the field. During that time, Depina improved her skills in Personnel Management, Project Management and Trade and Logitistics. She was recognized for her order fulfillment skills and was included in the Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort. She says that is when she recognized her passion to help others. When Sotera moved their operations to Kentucky, Depina decided she wanted to devote her career to helping others and joined Comfort Keepers.

Dee Matthews

Scheduling Coordinator

Deitre is the lead Service Coordinator who works at Comfort Keepers of the Eastern Shore Maryland. During the past eight years, she has had many roles, such as a caregiver, caregiver liaison, and office administrative assistant. Deitre is passionate about scheduling. She desires to help connect clients in need with caregivers that have empathy to help our seniors. In their spare time Deitre likes to spend time with her two cats, online shopping, playing video games, and talking to her dad. She currently lives in Federalsburg Md.

Amber Messick

Administrative Assistant

Amber is the Administrative Assistant who works at Comfort Keepers. For the last year she has answered phones, assisted the scheduler, and has worked on helping the new hires with paperwork while maintaining the current caregiver folders.

Amber is passionate about helping people, whether it is making sure our clients are covered with people who love what they do or caregivers who just need support or encouragement.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs. She also likes to dabble in photography and likes to explore the surrounding area. Amber currently lives in Easton.

Linda Slacum

Bookkeeper

Linda started her career in Agriculture, working at the USDA Farm Service Agency for 35 years.  She served in many positions over the years assisting Maryland farmers in navigating various USDA programs.  In this capacity, Linda managed the Queen Anne’s County office for 17 Years, and later oversaw budget and staffing for Maryland USDA county offices. 

Having a passion for helping others, it was an easy decision to join the Comfort Keepers family.  Currently, Linda is overseeing Accounts Payable and Receivables for Comfort Keepers.

 Linda looks forward to meeting and working with Comfort Keeper clients and always strives to provide the best service possible.
