Enid is getting a lot better care than I could give her at home. The CareGivers do an astonishing job.
Just wanted to send a note to let you know how amazing Alexis is. She’s like the perfect family member. She takes such good care of my mom. And the house is always clean when I come home. Which is so important to family’s dealing with a elderly parent.
To date she has provided care in my home at least 10 times. During that time (5 hours each visit), she has provided housekeeping and companionship services in an outstanding manner. She is meticulous, takes the time to make sure things are very clean, lets me know when she needs anything, and whether she has ideas about how to do the best job she can. She also helps with the laundry, most recently advising me and showing me how to clean moldy, smelly towels by using vinegar, Borax, Arm & Hammer, and fabric softener. She washes my hair for me every visit and has told me she paints nails which I plan to ask her to do during her next visit. Next week we also plan to change and wash the bed. She also provides outstanding companionship services so that I needn’t worry about my husband and if he’s ok while he’s away running errands. During those times we discuss topics of interest to both of us and have pleasant conversations. She knows that our cats are VIPs in our house, so she takes the time to visit with each one during her visits. Brittany always goes the extra mile and never fails to complete her assignments in an extra satisfactory manner. Our house always looks and feels better after she’s been here, and both her work and her positive attitude give me and my husband a more positive outlook about life in general.
I wanted to share with you my appreciation and gratitude for assigning Jaleesa to my grandmother. I am now comfortable and have peace of mind having her in my home and taking excellent care of granny. I have been in long term care for 25 years in a different arena than yours and sometimes we lose sight of the fact that we do more than just a job. It means a lot to me when I can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life. Jaleesa has done that for us. If you have an award she deserves one. Thank you!
Comfort Keepers” is a great name because that is exactly what they did for my family. Not only did they keep my spouse comfortable while I was away from home, but I was also kept comfortable knowing that someone trustworthy, caring and well-trained was at my home when I could not be there. What a great way to be able to keep a loved one at home!
Phoebe has helped Dick for a couple of months now. She is the best! She works hard at keeping Dick comfortable and safe. Just yesterday he was telling me how good she is when incidents happen and she needs to take charge. We appreciate her caring attitude and friendly ways.
It is with great pleasure that I write this recommendation on behalf of my parents, Joe and Mary Lou, for the wonderful caregiver, Robin. My dad was always hesitant and at times absolutely refused to get any outside help to care for my mother, who has what I consider the middle stage of Alzheimer's. Unfortunately my dad was forced to get help from Comfort Keepers due to his recent decline in health...a heart attack. I finally think my dad has seen the TRUE benefit of receiving help. You see, having Robin help care for my mom has been a true blessing for my mom and dad and for my family as well. My dad really enjoys having Robin care for my mom and help with daily activities. My dad has always admitted to being a pretty boring person, and my mom, though declining in cognition, is still pretty active. Robin helps to keep my mom entertained by playing cards with her, putting puzzles together, playing the piano, and taking her on errands. Robin is EXCELLENT with diverting/redirecting my moms attention when things are bothering her. Robin has been helpful in making suggestions to me to get a bathtub shower seat and suggesting other accommodations to help make life easier. One of my personal favorite moments was the second time I brought my dad home from the hospital on August 2. When we arrived home I privately told Robin that my dad had a doctors appointment that afternoon at 3:30 and I knew my mom would want to go, and it would be ok if she did go, but I would prefer she not go in case there were complications. Without missing a beat, Robin said, "Well, we just might go for a car ride and out for some ice cream at 3:20!" I thought, wow....genius! Robin left with my mom at 3:20, I went to the house, picked up my dad and took him to the doctor and didn't have to worry about my mom. I was worried the doctor may not be on time with his appointment and afraid we wouldn't be back by 5:00 (the end of Robins shift), and she said not to worry, she would stay until we got back. We got back way before 5:00, but it was so nice to not stress out about getting back by a certain time if the doctor would have been running behind. In addition to all of the aforementioned, Robin is always on time and stays busy cleaning and doing whatever needs to be done. She is a true initiative taker....that is a rarity! Thank you Robin, thank you Comfort keepers!
I wish to acknowledge the superb contributions to my mother's safety and well-being made by the people of Comfort Keepers. Not only did you arrange for her care on very short notice, but every caregiver who came to the house was well prepared for her difficult work. Every one of them was compassionate and skilled and added a unique touch to her care.
I want to personally thank you for taking care of my mom during her last days. Your time with her was special and helped make her comfortable. I have a newfound respect for the care you give people. You are truly special.
Thank you so much for the assistance you gave us. We were at the end of our rope and didn't know who to turn to. We knew Dad didn't want to go to a nursing home, but we couldn't stay with him 24/7 and carry on with our lives. I was going to quit my job so I could stay with him when Comfort Keepers came into our lives. You were a Godsend.
