Keith & Jocellie
Owners
Keith and Jocellie both obtained medical degrees from Iloilo Doctors’ College of Medicine in the Philippines. They are both certified and qualified memory care professionals. They have worked in the medical field for many years helping people in need of medical care. They both have witnessed firsthand the help that is needed by diverse individuals in the community and importantly their aging loved ones that needs assistance in their everyday activities. It has inspired both of them to join the Comfort Keepers family. They understand the physical and emotional challenges when an aging loved one requires extra help to remain in their own home.
As a locally owned business they are dedicated to provide the highest quality of in-home care services for their valued clients to maintain quality of life and independence.
Keith and Jocellie spent their time when away from work with their 2 sons, and their dog.
Sendy Avelino
External Care Coordinator
Sendy conducts the initial In-home assessment for the new clients, coordinates with the family making sure a tailored plan of care is established. She oversees clients and their needs in the home, continually updating their plan-of-care and handling any coordination with ongoing care needs with outside agencies. She is also the first point of contact for new potential clients. She assists in office organization and compliance.
She is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with our healthcare partners throughout St Joseph and Elkhart Counties, IN. Additionally, she assist with hiring, training, retention, and ensures that the caregivers have the tools they need to implement their clients’ plan-of-care. She works with client and caregiver match to create schedule that fits their needs.
Sendy has twenty years of combined medical field experience with healthcare providers, serving seniors, specializing in memory care, end-of-life care and coordination of care in-home and with facilities.
In her spare time she likes to spend time with her 3 kids and family, reading books, and she likes to travel to new places.
Paul Howard
Internal Care Coordinator
Paul performs assessments and plan of care updates, coordination of all aspects of client care. His duties include matching, and scheduling caregivers to provide ongoing client, family, and caregiver support, as care evolves. Additionally, he handles scheduling issues, any changes needed by clients or caregivers that may occur over the weekend. He provides support regarding the care plans during this time and ensures that the caregivers have the tools to implement their clients’ plan-of-care. Paul also assist in administrative task and compliance.
