City of Park Ridge
From its humble beginning in the mid-1800s as “Pennyville,” an agricultural village that drew its water from a communal well at Touhy and Northwest Highway, Park Ridge has evolved into an affluent Chicago suburb. As its name suggests, Park Ridge lies on a ridge. The soil is abundant with clay deposits, which made it an early brick-making center for the developing city of Chicago. A building boom during the Roaring Twenties led to the construction of Maine East High School and the Art Deco Pickwick Theatre, the latter of which is now a historic landmark. (Park Ridge also boasts the movie-related honor of having been the setting for parts of the 1980 film "The Blues Brothers.") Home to an original WPA mural called "Indians Cede the Land," as well as the modern Residences & Shops of Uptown, Park Ridge is as rich in 20th century history as it is in community spirit. With an office a few blocks west of Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, Comfort Keepers is proud to be one of your Park Ridge neighbors.
Sometimes a little help means a lot.
Comfort Keepers provides industry-leading home care services that allow seniors in Park Ridge to continue living independently – and safely – in their own homes. For the Comfort Keepers team, our work is personal: we care for your loved one as if they were a member of our own family.
The first step in starting a relationship with Comfort Keepers Park Ridge is simple, but it is the key to our overall success. Our experienced home care professionals will meet with you and your loved ones to assess the senior’s medical condition, living environment and personal preferences. This allows for the creation of a comprehensive plan of service, tailored to a client’s individual needs. During this meeting, we can discuss options such as:
- Personal Care
- Companion Care
- Interactive Caregiving
- Respite Care
- Transitioning/Post-Surgical Care
- Alzheimer’s Care and Dementia Care
- End-of-Life Care
Comfort Keepers Park Ridge also works in partnership with Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, Avantara Rehab, the Park Ridge Park District and Margolis Weldon Elder Law in order to better serve our clients and families.
