Carolyn McGoldrick

Owner

Carolyn is the heart and soul of our organization at Comfort Keepers. She is in charge of all aspects of human resources and works hard to build a high-quality team of caregivers and office staff who are passionate and driven to succeed in every way. She has a diverse set of human resources and business skills that she honed while working for a global financial services firm for over 14 years. A graduate of the State University of New York at Albany with a BA in Economics, she is passionate about her business and loves her Comfort Keepers family. She is actively involved in her community as a long-term volunteer with her church, local public schools, and recreational organizations, and is an active participant in the National Charity League. She is passionate about her work with Comfort Keepers and strives to make the lives of local seniors better each and every day.

Mark McGoldrick

Owner

Mark has owned Comfort Keepers since 2016. Prior to acquiring the 14-year-old company, Mark owned another health care services business.  It was through his involvement with this business that Mark developed a passion for owning companies whose core mission is helping people in need.

Mark spent 26 years founding, building, and managing highly successful financial services businesses for Global Banks.  He has a BBA from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.

Kim Pernerewski

General Manager

Kim, an advocate for healthcare, comes to Comfort Keepers with more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare field. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona and continued her education at Western Connecticut State University, where she received her MBA. Kim began her healthcare career at New Milford Hospital before moving on to skilled nursing communities. A passionate advocate for seniors and senior care, she spent the 10 years prior to working with Comfort Keepers working in the assisted living and home care sectors. Because of her strong background in senior care and true passion for what she does, Kim is able to recognize the unique needs of seniors and caregivers alike. She especially understands the needs of those living with dementia and what their families go through. She is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer. This makes her uniquely qualified to understand the great challenges seniors living with these conditions and their families face every day.

Aimee Chiodo

Accounting Manager

Aimee has been with Comfort Keepers since May 2022 and joined our team as our Accounting Manager. Aimee brings a keen ability and knowledge of industry best practices, largely due to her more than 20 years of finance and account management experience. A graduate of The Art Institute of Austin, she majored in Graphic Design, and spends her free time completing art commissions and tapping into her creative side by creating new works of art. In addition to her passion for art, she also has a passion for helping those who need it most and a soft spot in her heart for the elderly and senior community. Aimee learned about Comfort Keepers when her family hired our team to take care of her grandmother in 2017, and she was delighted to join the same team that helped her grandmother several years later.

Angela Roman

Recruiting Manager

Angela started her journey with our Comfort Keepers team in February 2017 as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She helps her clients with a wide range of needs and strives to always go above and beyond their expectations. Her valuable caregiving experience and industry knowledge have helped her achieve a new role within our company as a Recruiting Manager. She now assists all our clients by working to hire compassionate caregivers like herself worthy of our Comfort Keepers stamp of approval.

Latreece Dobbs

Scheduler

Latreece works tirelessly in conjunction with our Client Care Coordinator and Operations teams to find the right caregiver for each of our clients. She also ensures their homes are safe environments, and works to support daily communications with staff as well as clients in order to provide the best quality care possible for our community’s seniors. She wears many hats in our organization and has experience with maintaining files, payroll, recruiting, staff development, and customer service. Her goal is to educate the community about Comfort Keepers’ services and how they can help seniors live more comfortably at home, as well as provide essential and helpful resources to the families of those seniors.

She has worked in the healthcare industry for over 15 years and this has served to motivate her to be the best version of herself for her family and her community. She is moved and humbled by how the people in her life have cared, loved, helped, advised, laughed, and cried with her. She takes pride in everything she does with Comfort Keepers and in her own life and uses it as great motivation to be better day after day.

Toni Nichols

Scheduler

Antoinette “Toni” joined our Comfort Keepers family as a scheduler and uses her more than seven years of experience in health care to help match the perfect caregivers with their clients. She began her career nearly a decade ago as a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked diligently to become a care coordinator in various assisted living facilities. She uses her passion for helping others and her fondness for seniors in our community to provide the best care possible to our Comfort Keepers clients and their families.
