Good morning, Erin.
I don't usually use all caps, but it's worth it in this situation.
We have been absolutely thrilled with Comfort Keepers and with Donna Gonzales. Dad and especially mom were...skeptical, when we first mentioned having someone come in, and I was nervous about having someone we didn't know helping with mom and dad when I wasn't here. Boy, we all changed our minds!
It was still hard, even this week, for mom to leave the laundry until Donna got here (has to happen on certain days!) but we have had a terrific experience. Donna has been patient, industrious, kind, and fun. When there isn't a specific task, she looks for other things to help with or get done. Mom and dad have grown to love her, and when talking about not being here, that they will really miss her.
Thank you for everyone we have worked with, but especially Donna. We leave today for MA. I hope to have mom and dad here for a couple of months next summer, and will definitely need Comfort Keepers on the scene to help us. I will stay in touch and will reach out really early if it looks like they can be here in Durango/Bayfield.
I am happy to leave great reviews, or be a reference for your services.
Thank you so so SO much.
"Thank you so much for the assistance you gave us. We were at the end of our rope and didn't know who to turn to. We knew Dad didn't want to go to a nursing home, but we couldn't stay with him 24/7 and carry on with our lives. I was going to quit my job so I could stay with him when Comfort Keepers came into our lives. You were a Godsend."
"Comfort Keepers has helped me and is better than other services I have had."
"Comfort Keepers seems to know what they are doing. They are very kind, thoughtful, and very helpful. I've been happy."
"Comfort Keepers is reliable and does a good job at providing care."
"I want to personally thank you for taking care of my mom during her last days. Your time with her was special and helped make her comfortable. I have a newfound respect for the care you give people. You are truly special."
On March 18 of this year, my dad had his one-year "hospice anniversary." At this time last year, his hospice team estimated that he only had about 6-8 weeks left to live. My family and I fully realize that a key reason my dad has been able to live for more than a year under hospice services is the excellent care he receives at home from Comfort Keepers.
We had to have help for my father. I went to 4 different agencies trying to get help. Comfort Keepers was the only one that was able to help me. The communication and professionalism is wonderful and my parents LOVE the caregiver that they hired. I would highly recommend them.
"The caregivers have good attitudes, and they are happy to be here. They pay attention to what my husband needs and they know what his condition is. They listen to him and have conversations with him. He has trouble swallowing, and so they provide a special type of food for him with a lot of concern and care."
