What We Do Is NOT About a Job…..It’s About a Relationship!
Interactive Caregiving
Comfort Keepers is the ONLY in-home care company to provide Interactive Caregiving®. This means we not only care “for” our clients we “engage” our clients in their activities of daily living (ADLs). What does this mean to you? It helps to maintain and promote brain health and fitness as well as mobility and range of motion.
Quality Assurance Program
Clients and/or family members are contacted or visited by our Quality Assurance Team on a regular basis. This means you have ongoing input into your care or the care of a loved one. It also means we’re proactive to our clients’ needs.
Emergency Monitoring System
We have several wireless systems available to assist client safety. We have pendant push buttons, speaker medication reminders, and much more. Please see our SafetyChoice® page for detailed product information.
Professional Experience
We have over 30 years of experience in health care and in-home services. We also have elderly parents of our own, and truly understand the importance of client/caregiver compatibility, honesty, integrity, and compassion when assisting seniors. It’s important for us to know that you feel "comfort"able with who we are and our plan of care.
Special Needs
We have a large and diversely skilled staff. Therefore, we have caregivers specialized in Dementia and Alzheimer’s, Diabetes, Stroke, Paralysis, Cardiovascular disorders and much, much more.
Individualized Care
No two people are alike. That's why we design an individualized plan of care for each client, and work interactively with the client & family to provide the best quality care available.
Registered Nurses
Registered Nurses supervise & review all client care.
Education
In addition to a caregiver’s initial certification course, our staff members are required to take classes, pass corresponding skills testing and written exams on a monthly basis.
Hiring Process
Our hiring process is STRICT. Applicants must complete a thorough interview and background screening process that includes references, driving records, and criminal history investigations. Only 1 out of every 8-10 applicants meets our standards.
National Private Duty Association (NPDA)
We are proud members of the Michigan Chapter of NPDA. Not all companies can become members. We must hold to a national standard of operational excellence.
